LinkedIn Cold Outreach
with Claude Cowork

Follow these steps to set up AI-powered LinkedIn outreach. Click each step to expand the full instructions.

Get a Claude Pro Subscription

Go to claude.ai/pricing
Sign up for the Pro plan ($20/month) — this is the minimum tier that includes Cowork.
If you already have a Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise plan, you're good to go.

Install the Claude Desktop App

Go to claude.com/download
Download the app for your operating system (Mac or Windows).
Run the installer and open the app.
Log in with your Claude account.

Install Claude for Chrome

Open Google Chrome — required for Cowork browser control.
Go to the Claude Chrome extension
Click Add to Chrome and grant the requested permissions.
The extension enables Claude to see and interact with web pages on your behalf.

Get Your Apify API Key

Go to apify.com and create a free account.
You get $5/month in free credits — enough to scrape hundreds of leads.
Once logged in, go to Settings → Integrations.
Copy your Personal API Token — you'll need it in the next step.

Connect Apify to Claude via MCP

Open the Claude Desktop config file on your computer:
- Mac: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
- Windows: %APPDATA%\Claude\claude_desktop_config.json

Paste the following configuration (replace your_apify_token_here with your actual API token):

Note: You need Node.js installed for npx to work. Download it from nodejs.org (choose the LTS version) if you don't have it yet.
Fully quit and restart Claude Desktop. Look for the plug icon confirming the MCP connection is active.
Tip: You can swap in any Apify lead scraper that fits your needs, or use the Apify MCP Configurator to customize your setup.

Scrape Your Lead List

Open Claude Desktop and switch to Cowork mode (click "Cowork" in the sidebar).

Tell Claude to scrape leads matching your ideal client profile. For example:

"Use the Apollo Lead Scraper to find 50 marketing directors at SaaS companies in the US with 50-200 employees"

Claude will use the Apify MCP connection to run the scraper and return your lead list.
Review the results — you'll get names, titles, companies, and LinkedIn profile URLs.

Start Your Outreach Campaign

With your lead list ready, tell Claude to start outreach. For example:

"Go to each LinkedIn profile, send a personalized connection request mentioning their recent posts or company news"

Claude Cowork will open Chrome, navigate to each profile, and craft personalized messages.
It will ask for your approval before sending each message — you stay in control.
Monitor the first few messages to make sure the tone and personalization are right, then let Claude continue.
